The McTimoney College of Chiropractic was proud to be represented at the recent biannual World Federation of Chiropractic (WFC) conference, held in the picturesque city of Copenhagen, Denmark. The event brought together chiropractic professionals, educators, and researchers from around the world to engage in meaningful discussions about the future of the profession.
Professors Christina Cunliffe and Adrian Hunnisett attended the conference on behalf of McTimoney College, actively participating in several key sessions and workshops.
A Global Platform for Chiropractic Education and Regulation
The conference started with a meeting of the International Chiropractic Education Alliance, where Professor Cunliffe took part in a dedicated workshop on international collaboration in chiropractic education. As chiropractic becomes an increasingly global profession, these discussions are vital in promoting high standards of training and consistency across countries.
Professor Cunliffe also contributed to the International Chiropractic Regulation meeting, where emerging challenges in regulation and licensing were explored. With varying standards and frameworks in place across the globe, this meeting offered a chance to address issues and align on best practices.
Advancing Research in Chiropractic
Professor Hunnisett joined the Research Agenda Day, a key component of the WFC meeting, which focused on setting priorities for chiropractic research. This session provided an opportunity to explore current evidence, identify research gaps, and consider how chiropractic can contribute to wider healthcare systems.
Both Professors Cunliffe and Hunnisett also took part in the conference’s poster presentation sessions. McTimoney College was proud to have three research posters accepted for presentation, highlighting the institution’s ongoing contribution to evidence-based chiropractic practice.
Looking Ahead
Being represented at the WFC conference reinforces McTimoney College of Chiropractic’s commitment to excellence in chiropractic education and research. As the profession continues to evolve, participation in such global events ensures the College remains at the forefront of developments that shape chiropractic worldwide.
