Mental Health Awareness Week is an important time to shine a spotlight on mental well-being, encourage open conversations, and support one another. At McTimoney College of Chiropractic, our students and staff embraced the opportunity to participate in Wear It Green Day, joining a nationwide movement to promote mental health awareness.
While not everyone wore green, the collective message from our community was unmistakable: mental health matters. From sharing personal stories to engaging in meaningful conversations, the McTimoney community came together in a show of solidarity. Whether on campus or connecting online, students and staff alike demonstrated a shared commitment to mental well-being.
Wear It Green Day is part of the Mental Health Foundation’s annual campaign, aimed at raising awareness and funds to support mental health initiatives. By wearing green, individuals and organisations across the UK show their support for those struggling with mental health and help to break down stigma.
At McTimoney College, we understand that supporting mental health is not limited to one week a year. We are committed to creating an environment where students feel heard, supported, and empowered to seek help when needed. Mental health is just as important as physical health, particularly in healthcare education and practice.
